Hello@ lono can you help an sudoku-analphabet like me? I don´t understand Scanning in Sudoku - never be able to spot X-Wings, XY-Wings, XYZ-Wings, Swordfish, Turbotfish, Jellyfish. What can help me? I´m doing sudoku since 2 1/2 years and I don´t see any progress and success. Are there any tricks and tipps. Also, I got a symmetrical sudoku at level 3 and scored one point more. Total score of the marathon is 673 as follows:- 2009/09/08 01:01:02 2009/09/08 01:31:40 969 0 5a (308 points) 2009/09/08 01:01:02 2009/09/08 01:15:27 272 0 3s (191 points) 2009/09/08 01:01:01 2009/09/08 01:10:49 456 0 2a (128 points) 2009/09/08 01:01:00 2009/09/08 01:02:53 112 0 1a (46 points) I think you may easily break your record when you have a 3s in the marathon. Since you took 2 minutes longer, you received 3 extra points less (I had 17 minutes left, you had 14 mintes left). I had 24 solved cells for starters, Since in total you received 2 points more you probably had only 23 solved cells to start (5 points per unsolved cells). Solving faster apparently does not have as much influence as the number of unsolved cells to start with, something I just realised now. But anyway, these records are just for fun, and breaking them is more a matter of luck than prowess. [08 Sep. 2009, irkapina_ori]
